My Lower Sixth Media Groups- Holiday Prep

Firstly, watch the 911 conspiracy documentary that is listed in the 'interesting stuff' column on the right of this blog. It's an internet only documentary on google video and, like Loose Change, it is an internet film, made by amateurs and distributed online rather than through more conventional mediums like film and television. As you will see, the film makes some pretty wild allegations about the 911 disaster and the role of the Bush government, not to mention Christianity. There are dozens of these sort of films online and there is a whole subculture that has sprung up around them. For us, they are interesting, because they represent a new way of making and distributing documentary. Hardly any of Zeitgeist is shot by its makers, most of it is re-edited footage from tv news or just a series of still images accompanied by narration. Very cheap to manufacture. Similarly, the film is not released and distributed in a conventional way. Instead, it is just made freely available online and shared by users. I hope you find it interesting!

It's quite long (100 minutes or so) so it may take some time to buffer.
make sure you watch Zeitgeist the Movie, not Zeitgeist Addendum. It is important that you watch this film in the holidays because it's too long to watch in lesson time and the school internet connection will struggle to keep up with it. watch it here
