1 Please complete the two readings on the BBFC. They are both quite long and complex, so you need to take detailed notes. Make sure you know the main players and the key films, as well as the reasons for their controversy. Bear in mind also, that we are looking at censorship and regulation in close relation to the issue of POWER, so look out for moments where you feel that power is being exercised or resisted.
2 Thoroughly revise all the material that we covered this year. That's documentary, shocking cinema, genre and censorship. We need to hit the ground running next term and it's very important that you've done the groundwork.
